A Reflection of the Industry
It’s always interesting to review the program for the Healthcare Internet Conference . Since the vast majority of the sessions were proposed by those in the industry, it’s really a reflection of what’s happening with the Web strategies for hospitals and health systems.
So, what do we take from this year’s lineup?
- Social media has gone beyond the OMG phase and into the reality phase. Some of the presenters have done a lot more than put their toes in the water, too.
- The focus on showing results may be stronger than ever, but real progress is being made in the methods and approaches.
- The evolution of the personal health record is remarkable, and is even elevated to a general session. That will happen when Microsoft is your partner.
- The nuts and bolts of project management, CMS implementation, etc. are still a thorn in the side of many. Thankfully, many have success stories to share.
What themes do you take away from this year’s speaker list?
Two things that haven’t changed: There are more good sessions than I have the ability to attend, and more people I look forward to seeing than my liver can stand. :’)
Registration is open, y’all! Look forward to seeing you in November!
