What a year.
I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I’m glad to see 2011 in the rear view mirror. Parts of 2011 were really tough for all of us at Greystone.Net — saying goodbye is never easy. But much good happened this year too though — getting to know new colleagues and clients, working hard to expand our products and services, traveling across the world to speak at conferences, and most importantly, reconnecting with many friends in this busy world of healthcare Internet marketing.

It’s been a little more than a week since the end of the 15th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, and what a whirlwind. But a good whirlwind. It was a fun time with lots of great educational sessions and many chances to see old friends again and make new ones, which is the best part of each year’s conference, in my opinion.

Next Monday, the Healthcare Internet Conference will start. I can’t believe it will be the 15th Annual. How quickly time has passed from that day in November of 1996 when John Eudes, I and the rest of the “early” Greystone gang opened the first Healthcare Internet Conference at Bally’s in Las Vegas. We didn’t know it would become an annual event.

Ok, so Kathy Divis said some very nice things in her New Year’s blog post about me joining the Greystone team. I thank her for that and want everyone to know I feel just as fortunate to be a part of such a great organization and an incredible group of people. From the very first day I met John Eudes, many years ago, I had this feeling that we may work closely together one day. Although I did struggle with the decision to make a change, I just felt the time was right to take on a new challenge! I have always believed that you need to go with the feel and never look back! As I sit watching football on New Year’s Day and thinking about 2011, I can’t help but reflect on the year we’ve had at Greystone.Net in 2010. It was a good year. Read more…
Yesterday, while eating a leisurely breakfast in San Diego before our Webmaster Workshop, with some fun and a little amazement, I watched crowds of people head toward the last day of the 2010 Comic-Con. Many of them – young, old and every age in between — were in ”extreme costumes” that were hard to believe. Who knew so many people actually dressed-up like the Green Hornet or Thor on any given day? Not me.
