Opportunity Knocks with new Facebook Page

One of the more popular ways organizations and businesses have established a presence on Facebook is through the “page.”  The Facebook page was necessary since the typical individual profile just didn’t fit for an organization. For example, few organizations have favorite movies or books, or even a real birthday. Even fewer are married (insert joke here).

The problem with Facebook pages is that they weren’t very flexible and didn’t offer a very good method of keeping “fans” current on the latest news and updates.

No longer. The new Facebook page offers a much improved interface with options to truly engage fans who might otherwise not visit your page very often by “streaming” your updates. If you already have a page, you’ll see the new layout and features when you log in. But your fans and other visitors will still see the old version until you republish your page.

And if you haven’t put your toes in the waters of Facebook, opportunity knocks. It’s easy to set up and use, and takes minutes a day to keep current and monitor for activity. Check out the Greystone.Net page and let us know what you think. And become a fan!  We dare you!

Wow… What an improvement over the old page layout. We’ve been posting up links to newspaper articles featuring our docs, promoting our newsletter and trying our best to promote web features, but felt that it was almost impossible to do a good job because of way we were forced to lay out the page using the applications. Making it more like the profile pages is great because it becomes almost a stream of information from and about the hospital in a way that’s easier to digest.
