New at the 2012 Webmaster Workshop Series – The Latest Trends in Healthcare and the Web

February 13th, 2012 No comments

We are gearing up for our 2012 Webmaster Workshop Series, and I am very excited about the three different events we are offering this year, Bootcamp: Mobile, Classic and OpenSpace. This structure is designed to meet the educational needs of individuals with varying skills, facing different challenges.

I have been going to Webmaster Workshops for 4 years now and it has always been a great learning experience and a lot of fun. The Classic has been around for about 10 years and is the only one that I’ve been to because the first year of OpenSpace was last year and I was unable to attend, and Bootcamp: Mobile is a new workshop being offered this year for the first time. I will say the Webmaster Workshop Classic has a casual environment with lots of interaction. The sessions can be intense because some of the topics are fairly advanced for some but at the very least, most walk away knowing more than they did when they first arrived. Some of the topics include, choosing a CMS, content strategy, mobile strategy for multiple audiences, policies and procedures for social media, etc. Then, we typically have a great lunch discussion over the challenges that hospitals are facing right now and wrap up with appetizers and drinks that evening. This is a two-day event, so we have breakfast the next morning and continue the discussion.

Not only have I met some great people over the years, but many of the attendees have connected with each other and kept in contact, sharing thoughts and strategies to help each other with their Web initiatives. I have never been disappointed after leaving a workshop.

So, here are some basics about the events:

  • Bootcamp: Mobile is a great fit for those who want to know the latest trends in mobile as they ramp-up their organizational presence in this medium. This event is for those wishing to learn Best in Class mobile tactics and attendees will leave the bootcamp “mobile ready” and with a framework of a solid roadmap to leverage their rapidly growing mobile footprint.
  • Classic best suits the needs of knowledgeable Web leaders in a hospital that are looking for an educational opportunity to take your Web site to the next level.
  • OpenSpace is intended for the seasoned Web executive and is limited to a small group of senior leaders to enhance discussion and learning. It is designed to put the power in your hands to select the topics for discussion and set the pace of the conversation.
