We Couldn’t Have Said it Better Ourselves
Sometimes you find a blog post that you wish you had written. Such is the case with Lisa Welchman’s recent post on Web governance. If you’ve been a Greystone.Net client, you know how fundamental this concept is to our approach. Without effective governance, you are bound to struggle. And without the senior leadership support and buy-in that comes with a sound governance structure, the best strategy in the world may run aground.
My favorite line from the entire post:
“If organizations implement Web Governance, have a Web Strategy, a sensible and unified approach to Web content and application development, and effectively measure Web performance, the organizational Web presence can be a great asset and not a liability.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself. So, I’ll be brief: Read Lisa’s post and take heed!
You’ve found a great one! I had the pleasure of attending two of Lisa’s masterclasses on Web governance in Europe last month. Many of us are trying to keep up, if not ahead with the 2.0 online world. In government, I recognize that without this solid governance model in place, our online activities will remain a challenge.
I’m thrilled to be speaking with Lisa on this very subject next month in Philadelphia at A Knowledge Sharing Summit for Online Professionals: http://www.jboye.com/conferences/philadelphia09/
I highly recommend following Lisa’s work on Web governance!
